   The Anchors was the skimmers, bubbleheads did not arise till 1900, we have a fish and its still ours, I still don’t see a fish on your EGA!

   Your tirade here is a poor example of humanity. If you are trying to convince others that you are or were a Marine, give it up. A Marine does not consider his father to be the devil. Marines steal nothing from anyone, and they (besides their escorts in the U.S. Navy) are some of the most honorable service people I have ever served with. And anyone who thinks Marines are drunkards is in for a battle when saying that to their faces.
   And, by the way, it’s HOO Rah!

Self-centered they are not, the devil is their father, more like GOD, Thief’s, They would never disgrace themselves by stealing. I know a lot of Marines and they are all upstanding individuals.

   As a real life Marine, all I can say is that what you have said here is just the rant of one who we call a wannabe who thinks war is glory, one who in all retrospect, never left home, and has spent too much time playing video games.
   It does not serve justice to the Marine Corps, and if you tried repeating this one at the local VFW or Legion, you would find yourself outside eating the parking lot.
   Marines are the oldest and proudest fighting unit the United States has ever seen and will always be.
   Granted we do like to drink (but that’s to forget the horrors we have experienced) and we are and will always be soldiers not to fight other soldiers but to defend our honor, our country, our constitution and the right for people of your caliber to express their desires to be one of us.

   I just can’t agree with most of what you said. I spent many years in the Corp with my husband and he wasn’t as you say. Yea, he was gong ho all the way and the Corp was his life. It was first and formost. He died being proud to be a Marine. HE HAD A FULL MILITARY HONORS FUNERAL. He was my first husband. He was told, when he asked for leave to come home to get married ” If the corp wanted you to have a wife ‘we would have issued you one” BUT’ they gave him the leave and he went back to Calif. with a wife and then added two sons there.The Corp was it and I’ve always known it. I then married an ex Navy Seal and it sure wasn’t the same.

    I am a retired Air Force Pilot, so I can be unbiased when it comes to your statement. You are full of it. During the Vietnam War the Marines would do anything and everything to help a downed pilot, no matter what service that pilot was in. They would continue this mission as long as it took, even if told to call it off. The are the select few who get to live with the sand fleas at LaJune.They are the few people I knew while on active duty that I could walk up to and say could you babysit my two daughters for a week while my wife and I go on a trip. I did this and later on I did this for him and his wife. They are the hardest working, hardest playing, nicest people I ever met. They are expected to be the first one in, which they do with pride and with excellence. Rant all you want about Satan and M16s. The Marines deserve my salute, present, past, and future Marines. By the way the proper way to end a statement about the Marines is Semper Fi. And boy are they.
