my boyfriend is an American marine and im an Iranian citizen,we have been together for almost a year and we are thinking about getting married and considering it an option,now we have two ways,A) apply through his base,which we have been told takes from 4 months to 3 years,by his Sargent and people who have tried this B) apply for a k1 or fiancee visa,which allows me to enter united states with a 3 months visa and ill have 3 months time to marry him and then 2 years to get my life started with him
we are going to go with the second option through US embassy in korea BUT what im afraid of is that they return us to USMC and make us apply through them,which will take forever
any ideas if they will or will not do that?

They can’t force you to do anything. Ur bf / husband don’t have to listen to what they tell them when it comes to him frying married.
best bet is to go through the USMC. Make take a bit longer, but if they approved it, then it will all be legal.
On a side note, because you are a foreign national, and you would become his dependant he would lose his security clearances. It may be easier to wait until he is discharged… less paperwork.
