My dad was honorablely discharged from the military after 4 yrs of service in the USMC. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. When he passes, we want to have a Military Funeral for him. His ex-wife has burnt all of his Military uniforms and papers. He does get VA benefits. Will the USMC provide a uniform for him to be buried in? Or does he have to active duty? How would I obtain one when that time comes?
No unfortunately the Marines will not provide a uniform for him. Contact your local VFW and they can help you get his uniform. All else fails gets his measurements and buy them on-line. It’s best to get it done ahead of time.

They will give him a military funeral (but you’ll probably have to pay for it, you have to pay for all funeral arrangements)… but you’ll have to get him his uniform.
If you cant find one through the VFW you can order one online, you could try to get one from a military surplus sture, etc.
I think your best bet, would be to order some dressblues online or talk to someone in the VFW.
