The National Marine Corps Museum opened in DC Nov of last year. Contact them. If they don’t need it, look for some of the unit’s that the stuff is from that are still active today. They would love to have stuff like that. Maybe one of the Marine Corps bases would display it. I’m sure it shouldn’t be hard to find a place for your treasures. If you have no luck or time, contact me and I will be more than happy to help find a home. Semper Fi!!!!!
Donate to a local museum is the best thing. Most cities and towns have a historical society or museum they would be the best choice in this matter.
go to your local VFW commander and tell him about your father.
They will advise you the best place to show honor to this Honorable Soldier. Their may be a museum locally that will honor his tribute to his country. God Bless

They will determine the historical value of the items to have and if so, accept donation of them. The World War 2 dress uniforms are so common they might not accept them. Either keep them or sadly, put them up on ebay. The medals. letters, and photographs on the other hand are valuable for historical research purposes. In any case consult with archivists from the above agencies.
