I found it easier just purchase them because your chance of receiving them and the time it takes is about 60% .
I have waited 8 months so far and still nothing.

you have a computer or you wouldn’t be on here. national military records. click on FORM 180 have him fill this form out and either fax it or mail it to records requesting a reissue of his medals. while he is at it have him request his military records and his medical records. the records section will replace his medals once. it took me about 6 weeks to get my records and medals caution to save time send or fax the FORM 180 to the fax number or address for the marines section it speeds things up it is a simple form that shouldn’t give you any trouble filling out mr doodles
