Hello folks,Im a 48 year old man with 2 kids. Here is my question: I tried to enlist in the Marine Corp. because they are the best. They laughed at me at the recruitment office and sent me packing. However the Army did say they would consider me,no promises. Does anybody know of any tricks,or loopholes that will get me in the Corp.????? I know Im an old man but Im in shape and want to fight for my country..I want to be a Marine!!!!!
Sorry bro 31 is the magic number for the Marines I dont see that changing any time soon.
Wait til Bush is out of office and your chances of survival will literally double.
Marines are very unique, you HAVE to go thru their boot camp, no exceptions. (course if your a Marine you can skip army basic haha)
Enlist in the Navy and be a combat medic, they’re always with the Marines.
otherwise try to get a waiver?
The cut off age is 35 years old.
If you’re not prior service the new Army cutoff age is 42. It used to be 33 then it was pushed to 35 now it’s 42.
Marine cutoff age is 28 I believe.
Edit: if you want to go over there. Look at the Red Cross. My dad was Army but he’s in his 50s now and way too old to re-enlist. He was thinking about Red Cross. But… he’s also got lots of experience in the medical feild.
Marines don’t except people like 31 or older, i think
Army doesn’t except anyone older than 41,
and if you do get in.. i doubt a 48 year old will be allowed to be in combat.
if u do get it, have fun scrubing dishs or trucking the trucks=DD
I am sorry you are to old for the marines but wait until the new Democrats take over completely you will probably be able to fight here in your own country with out even joining any branch
just to survive. they will come straight here and wont have to fight there way …LOL.
Sortry…We are too old to be fighting….should have thought about being a Marine 30 years ago…
Like K-Y said, you may get your chance to fight right in your own back yard…..Clean your weapon and wait for the assault to begin in Jan 2008……If the Lunitics get in office
Don’t feel bad, the Marines turned down Audie Murphy
